Rules
#1 RIDE WITH CAUTION AND RESPONSIBILITY
The use of a helmet, as well as front and rear lights, is mandatory during the ride. Additionally, at night, it is necessary to wear a reflective vest or reflective clothing. Wearing light-colored and visible clothing is recommended at all times for increased safety.
Keep in mind that the route runs along roads open to traffic, so it is essential to know and respect traffic regulations at all times. Likewise, the use of headphones while riding a bicycle is prohibited.
Always exercise caution and responsibility when riding
Lastly, remember that, in accordance with traffic regulations, the use of headphones is prohibited while riding your bicycle.

#2 PRESERVE THE WILD
When visiting protected areas and delicate ecosystems, ensure your actions do not harm the environment:
- Avoid creating noise that disrupts the tranquility of the area or disturbs wildlife.
- Do not light fires
- Always maintain a safe distance from animals and do not feed them.
- Carry out all your waste if no disposal facilities are provided.
- Refrain from altering natural drainage patterns or causing soil erosion.
- Do not dispose of any solid or liquid waste outside approved areas.
- Respect all living beings by not interfering with their natural behaviors or habitats.
- Minimize the use of artificial lighting, reserving it only for safety, navigation, or emergencies.
- Leave biotic, geological, cultural, and landscape resources untouched and undisturbed.

#3 SELF-SUFFICIENCY
This event is all about self-reliance and personal challenge. You, your bicycle, and your equipment are the only things you’ll need.
You are entirely responsible for your logistics and safety during the event. This means that all food, drink, and necessary equipment must be carried by yourself or acquired along the way, without prior planning.
It is not allowed to book accommodation or request logistical assistance before the event begins. Additionally, no external support, whether physical or virtual, that has been prearranged is permitted.
Furthermore, the organization recommends always carrying the following items: a bivvy bag, an emergency kit, sunscreen, electrolytes, and appropriate clothing for winter conditions.
There are two categories available: Solo and Pair. Riding in groups or alongside other participants is strictly prohibited.
In the case of participating as a pair, both cyclists will be treated as a single unit, allowing them to share resources between themselves.
Drafting – following closely behind another cyclist or vehicle for aerodynamic advantage – is not allowed at any time (except behind your partner in the Pair category or during the neutralized start). If you happen to temporarily ride near another cyclist, you must stay side by side, not behind them.
#4 TRACKER MANAGEMENT
A refundable deposit is required for each tracker. You are fully responsible for its proper use and functionality throughout the event.
The satellite tracking system is designed exclusively to display your position online during the adventure. Keeping the tracker turned off or inactive for prolonged periods will lead to penalties.
In the case of a Pair, if temporary separation occurs for any reason, the tracker must stay with the rider in the rearmost position.
Make sure to use the tracker correctly to comply with event rules and avoid any issues.

5. TIME MANAGEMENT RULES
To ensure a smooth experience, all participants must arrive on time for accreditation and attend the mandatory briefing. The tracker will be activated at start line.
If you fail to complete the route within the established time limit, you will be marked as DNF (Did Not Finish). Even so, you can continue riding after the cutoff, but make sure to return the tracker at the specified locations and enjoy the rest of your journey independently.
For teams in the Pair category: if one rider withdraws, the pair will be classified as DNF. However, the other rider may continue solo and will be acknowledged as a Finisher, though outside the official category.
Stay mindful of time, plan accordingly, and make the most of your adventure!
6. INSURANCE AND RESPONSIBILITY
All participants are required to have valid civil liability and medical insurance that includes coverage for medical treatments, emergency rescue, repatriation, and accidental death. Proof of this insurance must be shown during the accreditation process.
It is important to understand that you are solely responsible for your safety and any incidents that may arise during the event. The organization does not offer insurance coverage for participants and will not be liable for any damages, injuries, or harm to you or others.
Additionally, participants must be at least 18 years old by the event’s start date to be eligible to take part.
Make sure you meet these requirements to ensure a safe and compliant participation.

#7 VALUES
Cycling is about values, and respect and honest are mandatory for us. The Gravelscape is a result of the collective effort of the staff, locals, sponsors, institutions, authorities, and fellow riders. Always follow the organizers' instructions—they are to ensure everyone's safety.
Please be kind and understanding toward everyone involved. Each person has worked hard to make this event possible.
